Text message updates

Open Compliance → SMS Optin in Thermal →

What it's for

Text message updates records a visitor's agreement to receive appointment and service texts from their service company. It is a public sign-up form, not the office business-profile or sender-verification screen.

The permanent sign-up URL is https://link.trythermal.com/compliance/sms-optin. This generic page says your service company and has no company picker. For a form that names the business and records its company source, use https://link.trythermal.com/compliance/sms-optin/<orgId>, replacing <orgId> with the company's organization id. See Text message updates for one company.

Tabs

There are no tabs. The page has a Text message updates heading, an explanation of the texts, and one sign-up form.

Panels and controls

Enter Mobile number, read the disclosure beside the consent checkbox, tick it if you agree, then choose Sign up for texts. The checkbox starts unchecked. Privacy Policy and Terms open the published policy pages. While the form is being saved, the button says Saving….

The disclosure describes appointment confirmations, technician on-the-way alerts and job updates from the service company's own verified number, with Thermal as the technology provider. It explains that frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of purchase. It gives STOP to opt out and HELP for help.

On success, the form is replaced by You're signed up. The confirmation says the agreement has been recorded and repeats the STOP instruction.

If submission fails, the form remains with an error:

  • Enter your mobile number. appears for a blank number.
  • Enter a valid US or Canadian mobile number. appears for a number that cannot be accepted.
  • Check the box to agree to receive text messages. appears when consent is missing.
  • We couldn't save that. Try again. appears beside the submit button when the agreement cannot be saved. Try submitting again.

What it accepts

Both Mobile number and the consent checkbox are required. The form accepts a US or Canadian number with 10 digits, or 11 digits beginning with 1. Spaces, parentheses, hyphens, periods and a + prefix are accepted in the number; examples are (415) 555-0132, 415.555.0132 and +1 415 555 0132. Letters, extensions and other country-code formats are refused. Accepted numbers are stored in the +1 format without punctuation.

The generic form does not ask for a name, email, company or customer account. Missing consent or an invalid number does not save an agreement.

How to configure it

There are no settings controls on this page. Use Set up text messaging for the separate office business profile and sender review. Submitting this form records consent; it does not verify a sending number or send a confirmation text.

Who can see it

This is a public page. Anyone can open it, signed in or not.

The privacy and terms links point to https://trythermal.com/privacy and https://trythermal.com/terms. A successful submission records the mobile number, consent time, generic sign-up source, sign-up page URL and disclosure version. It does not add a customer contact or change a customer's text preferences. The company-specific form records its company source separately.
