Complete a preventive maintenance inspection

A preventive maintenance visit runs as a single inspection — the same readings, photos, and pass/fail checks you use on any other job, not a separate checklist. If you've completed one inspection in Thermal, you already know the shape of this one.

Steps

  1. Open the work order for the PM visit and start the inspection from there. The checklist that loads is whatever the shop set up for this equipment type — you don't choose it.
  2. Work through each item: readings get typed in, pass/fail and yes/no checks get tapped, and any item that calls for a photo will prompt you for one before it lets you move on.
  3. Flag anything that failed or looked off, even if it's outside what the checklist explicitly asks — a note here is what turns into a follow-up proposal instead of a problem nobody catches until the next visit.
  4. Get a signature from whoever's on site once you're done, and complete the inspection.

What happens after

Completing the inspection also completes the work order tied to it — nothing further to close out separately. The results are attached to the equipment's history, so the next technician (or the next PM visit) can see what was found this time.
