Past quote version
What it's for
A past quote version shows one earlier version of a sent quote, read-only, exactly as the customer saw it: its options, lines and totals, and the customer it was addressed to at the time. Use it to settle a dispute or check what changed between revisions. You reach it from the Versions section of the quote record.
The route is /proposals/[id]/versions/[version], where the version is a
number. The current version opens the quote itself; an unknown version shows
not found.
Tabs
There are no tabs. The page shows one section per option the quote offered at that version, or a single Lines section when it had no options.
Panels and controls
- The header names the quote and the version and carries a Read-only badge.
- The previous and next arrows step between versions; next from the newest past version returns to the current quote.
- The Version summary shows when the version was replaced, who edited it, its total, and whether it is the version the customer saw last or approved.
- The related records link back to the quote and to the customer the version was addressed to.
There are no actions: an old version can't be edited or restored.
What it accepts
Nothing. The page only reads the stored version.
How to configure it
- Invoicing settings change how this screen behaves. They live under Settings.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Proposals area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
The full role matrix is on Roles & permissions.
