Invoice

What it's for

The invoice page is what your customer sees when they tap View your invoice in the invoice email or text. It shows the whole invoice, so the customer has the real document whether or not you take card payments online.

The route is /p/invoice/<invoiceId>?token=<token>.

Tabs

The page has no tabs. It is the invoice itself.

Panels and controls

  • The header shows the invoice number, your company's name, a status badge (Due, Partially paid or Paid), the balance due, the due date and the payment terms.
  • Print / Save PDF prints the invoice or saves it as a PDF.
  • The invoice shows your business address, who it's billed to, the service site, every line (description, kind, quantity, unit price, amount), the subtotal, tax, total, balance due and any invoice notes. An invoice that covers several work orders groups its lines by work order.
  • The contact line tells the customer how to reach you, using your company phone and email.

What it accepts

Nothing. The page is read-only; the customer can't change the invoice from it. To pay, they use the separate Pay invoice button in the email when online payments are set up.

How to configure it

  • Branding settings (logo and accent) change how this screen looks. They live under Settings.
  • Invoicing settings (invoice number prefix) change how the invoice number reads. They live under Settings.
  • Your company phone and email in Settings fill the contact line.

Who can see it

This screen opens from a secure link you send — no login, no account. Anyone holding the link can open it, and the link is the only way in, so treat it the way you would treat the document itself.

The link works for a year. After that the customer sees "This invoice link has expired" with your contact line; send the invoice again for a fresh link. A voided invoice shows "This invoice was voided" with your contact line and no invoice details. Draft invoices never open.
