What it's for
New Agreement creates a maintenance plan and the equipment it covers. It is one form because the two belong together: a plan with no covered units bills for nothing and schedules nothing.
Reach it from New on the Agreements list, from a customer, or from a piece
of equipment, at /agreements/new. The page describes itself as "Create a
maintenance plan and the equipment it covers."
Tabs
The form has no tabs. It is one page: who it is for, what it covers, and what it costs.
Panels and controls
- Customer and Service Site say who the agreement is for. Leaving the site empty covers the whole customer rather than one location.
- Part of MSA nests this agreement under a master agreement, which is how a multi-site account keeps one commercial arrangement across many locations.
- Covered equipment picks the units this plan covers. This is the field that makes the agreement do work: covered units get a projected service date, score lower on risk, and show as covered everywhere else.
- Plan Template starts from one of your standard plans; Plan Name is what the customer sees — "e.g. Basic Maintenance, Comfort Club, Premier Care".
- Pricing tier / rate card decides what the covered work is charged at.
- Branch decides which branch owns it.
- Status and Service Cadence set where it stands and how often visits are due.
- Starts On and Expires On bound the term; Auto-renew decides whether it rolls at the end.
- Price per Year is the contract value — "e.g. 299.00".
- Guaranteed response (hours) records the response time promised — "e.g. 4" — which is what the SLA reporting measures against.
- Notes is free text.
- Create Agreement saves; Cancel discards.

How to configure it
- Agreements settings supply the plan templates and cadences, and set the auto-renew default.
- Price book settings supply the rate cards the pricing picker offers.
- Branches decide what the branch picker offers.
- Invoicing settings decide how the annual price is billed — in one go or spread across the term.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Agreements area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot create agreements. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
