Meter PM forecast

What it's for

Meter PM forecast helps the office see which equipment may need preventive maintenance based on recorded hours or cycles. Open Equipment, then Meter PM forecast, at /equipment/pm-forecast.

The forecast estimates when each unit will reach its configured maintenance meter threshold. It does not book a visit or change a maintenance schedule. Use it to decide which units need a closer look or a fresh meter reading.

Tabs

The status views filter the same equipment list:

  • All — all eligible units, ordered by status and projected date.
  • Overdue — a recorded reading is already at or above the threshold, or the estimated crossing date has passed.
  • Due soon — the estimated crossing date is today or within the next 14 days, including the fourteenth day.
  • Stale meter — no reading is available, or the latest reading is more than 30 days old. A reading exactly 30 days old is still fresh.
  • Unknown — fresh readings do not support an estimate, for example because only one reading date is available or the meter has not increased.
  • On track — the estimated crossing date is more than 14 days away.

Counts beside the views follow your current access. Unknown units are kept separate from On track so a missing estimate cannot imply that maintenance is safely in the future.

Panels and controls

Each row shows the equipment, service site, maintenance status, last reading, reading date and age, average daily usage, configured threshold, projected maintenance date, and the reason for the result. Open the equipment name to review the unit's record. Equipment returns to the registry.

The average uses the net meter increase divided by the elapsed days across up to 90 distinct reading dates. When several readings share a date, the most recently recorded correction is used. Only readings in the unit's current meter unit are included; future-dated readings are left out.

The projected date counts forward from the last actual reading, rather than starting again today. A stale meter never displays a projected date. A decreasing cumulative meter, a single dated reading, or no recorded increase cannot supply an estimate. An observed threshold crossing can still be shown as overdue even when its exact date is unknown.

What it accepts

This screen reads existing equipment settings and meter readings. It accepts no edits. Only live equipment with a meter unit and a positive maintenance threshold appears. Units without meter maintenance settings are outside this forecast; invalid thresholds are skipped with an explanation in the header.

The threshold is the next cumulative meter target, not a repeating interval. For example, a target of 500 hours means the meter reaching 500 hours. This screen does not advance that target after maintenance.

How to configure it

The screen uses each unit's existing meter unit and maintenance threshold. Recording another meter reading can change the estimate. Open the equipment record to review the unit's details. The due-soon and staleness windows are fixed at 14 and 30 days on this screen. The As of date follows your company's timezone.

Who can see it

People with access to Equipment can view this forecast. Company and branch restrictions apply to the equipment, site information and reading history shown here, just as on the equipment list.
