Days of supply

Open Inventory → Days OF Supply in Thermal →

What it's for

Open Inventory → Days of supply at /inventory/days-of-supply to see which parts may run out at each warehouse or van. The list compares current stock with consumption over the last 30 days and the part's supplier lead time. It does not create purchase orders or change stock.

Tabs

Days of supply is selected in the Inventory hub. Use the other Inventory tabs to return to parts, cylinders, tools or stock counts.

Panels and controls

Each row shows a part and location, quantity on hand, average daily usage, quantity received during the usage window, days of supply, supplier lead time, risk and a reason. Open a part name to see its inventory record. Search the list to narrow the rows.

Average daily usage is the quantity used minus unused parts returned to stock during the last 30 days, divided by 30. Consumption cannot fall below zero. Days of supply is current stock divided by that daily usage. Transfers, adjustments and disposal are excluded from usage. Receipts appear separately and are already included in current stock.

The list starts with High risk, then Review, Unknown and Low:

  • High: no stock remains despite recent consumption, or supply is at or below supplier lead time.
  • Review: supply is within the 14-day review window and either covers lead time or has a missing or invalid lead time.
  • Unknown: there is no recent consumption, or the supplier lead time is missing or invalid and supply exceeds the review window. With no recent consumption, days of supply also shows Unknown.
  • Low: supply covers lead time and exceeds the review window.

Every row includes the reason for its risk. These estimates use recent usage; future demand can change.

What it accepts

This is a read-only list. It shows existing stock balances at locations you can access, including balances with no recent consumption. Archived parts and locations are excluded.

How to configure it

The usage window is 30 days and the review window is 14 days. This screen has no controls for changing those windows. Supplier lead time comes from the part's inventory record. Your branch access determines which locations appear.

Who can see it

Access follows the Inventory area. See Roles & permissions for the standard roles and permissions.
