What it's for
The setup step for the technician app, opened from the setup checklist. What it shows depends on the company's starting profile.
- Owner-run companies see Install the tech app, for the owner's own phone.
- Office-run and multi-branch companies see Your team and the tech app, for inviting technicians.
The route is /setup/tech-app.

Panels and controls
Install the tech app. On a phone, a store button opens the app's listing. On a computer, a code opens the right store when scanned with a phone's camera, and Text me the link texts the link to the mobile number on your staff profile once texting registration is Ready. Sign in to the app with the email you use here. The checklist item ticks itself once you sign in on the app and allow notifications, and you can also tick it by hand.
Your team and the tech app. Each row takes a name, a role, a mobile number and an email; Add another adds a row. What <name> gets shows the exact text the first person will receive. Send invites adds each person to Staff and invites them: by text and email when a mobile number is given, by email alone when not. People already invited are listed with Signed in on the app, Signed in, Invited · text sent or Invited · email sent; Email invite not sent when the email invitation could not be sent; Already a member · can sign in when the email already belongs to the company; or Added · email invite not confirmed when no send was recorded; and Resend sends a pending email invitation again. Once one technician is invited, the checklist's First job item unlocks.
What it accepts
An email is required for each person, because technicians sign in to the app with their email. The mobile number is optional. Up to 20 people can be invited at a time.
How to configure it
Nothing in Settings changes how this screen behaves.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Staff area.
Owners and office managers can open it. Dispatchers and technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
