Settings

What it's for

Settings is the starting point for changing your account, the active organization, and the way Thermal behaves. The page separates those three scopes so you can tell whether a change follows you, affects the current organization, or changes a product rule before you open a destination.

Reach it from Settings in the global sidebar, at /settings.

Tabs

This screen has no tabs. On desktop, the Settings navigation stays beside the page. On a phone, the first level shows groups; choosing one opens its destinations, with All settings taking you back to the group list.

Panels and controls

The landing page explains three setting scopes:

Personal identity and security covers hosted account controls such as sign-in methods, sessions, and personal security.
The active organization covers the current shop's identity, branches, subscription, billing, and capabilities.
Thermal product settings covers the rules used while estimating, dispatching, documenting, and closing work.

Use Filter settings to match a destination by its name or description. Destinations with an external-link mark open a hosted account surface or a different Thermal area. A locked destination stays selectable and opens Plan, where the required capability is explained.

What it accepts

The landing page does not save values. Filter settings accepts plain text and narrows the visible destination list as you type; clearing it restores all destinations available to your role. Select a destination to open the screen that owns its fields and validation rules.

How to configure it

Confirm the organization named beneath the Settings title before making organization-wide or product changes.
Use the scope and group labels to choose the destination that owns the rule; each destination's Reference page describes its fields and save behavior.
Open Account security for personal sign-in controls and Organization name & logo for hosted organization identity controls.
Open Plan when a capability-locked destination is unavailable.

Who can see it

Owners can open Settings and see every destination, including owner-only money and rate controls.
Office managers can open Settings, but owner-only destinations are not shown.
Dispatchers and technicians cannot reach Settings.
