New acceptance run

Open Acceptance Runs → NEW in Thermal →

What it's for

New acceptance run starts a run from a fixed scenario template. The moment you create it, the template's steps are copied onto the run — snapshotted, so if the underlying template script changes later it can't silently rewrite a run that's already in progress or already signed off.

Reach it from New run on the Acceptance runs list, at /acceptance-runs/new.

Tabs

The page has no tabs. It is one short form.

Panels and controls

  • Label names the run — something you'll recognize later, like "OKC D4 UAT — Aug 2026."
  • Scenario template picks which fixed set of steps this run tests, shown with its version.
  • Customer is optional at creation — leave it as Staff only for an internal dry run, or pick a customer if you plan to publish the run to their portal later. A run can't be published without one.
  • Create run snapshots the chosen template's steps onto the new run and opens it. Cancel returns to the list without creating anything.

How to configure it

  • The set of scenario templates offered here is fixed content, not a per-shop setting.
  • Whether the finished run can be published to a customer portal depends on the Customer you pick here, not on a separate setting.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Settings area.

Owners and office managers can create a run. Dispatchers and technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.

The full role matrix is on Roles & permissions.
