Undo a mistaken agreement renewal

Open Agreements in Thermal →

You can undo the most recent renewal when it was renewed by mistake. Undo restores the agreement values that were recorded before that renewal.

Undo the mistaken renewal

  1. Open the agreement.
  2. Open the History tab.
  3. Find the most recent renewal and select Undo.
  4. Check the agreement details. Undo restores the status, expiry date, annual price, and renewal count that were recorded before the renewal. If that renewal used a next-term price and nobody has set a newer one since, Next-term price comes back as well.

The agreement's last-renewed timestamp returns to the previous renewal that has not been undone. If there is no earlier live renewal, that timestamp is cleared.

When Undo is missing or cannot finish

Only the newest renewal with a recorded pre-renewal snapshot can be undone. A renewal that was already undone shows Reverted instead of Undo.

If Undo cannot finish, Thermal shows one of these messages:

  • Renewal not found.
  • Already undone.
  • Can't undo — this agreement was renewed again since.
  • This renewal predates undo support.
  • Agreement not found.

If a newer renewal exists, undo that newer renewal first. Older renewals and renewals without a recorded snapshot cannot be undone from History.

What undo does to the bill

Undo also removes a draft renewal invoice for that term when it has not been sent and has not been synced to accounting. Installments that renewal added, and that are still only scheduled, are voided.

Undo refuses, and changes nothing, when the bill has already gone out:

  • Can't undo — this renewal's invoice has been sent or synced to accounting. Void or credit the invoice instead.
  • Can't undo — an installment for this renewal's term has already been invoiced. Void or credit that invoice instead.
