What it's for

Use Reports → AP duplicate bills to review accounts payable bills that may have been entered twice before paying them. Each flagged pair includes both bill numbers, dates, totals and the reasons to review them. Open the report.

Tabs

This report has no tabs. Its table compares bills within your current branch scope. Open the report.

Panels and controls

Bills must belong to the same vendor. A pair is flagged when its invoice numbers match exactly after trimming surrounding spaces, or when its totals and currencies match and its bill dates are no more than three calendar days apart. Both reasons appear when both rules match. A matching invoice number can flag bills with different dates or totals. See the report's matching rules.

Missing vendors never match. Blank invoice numbers do not count as evidence. Amount matching needs both bill dates. Deleted bills are excluded, and each pair appears once. Only bills within your company's permitted branch scope are compared. Review flagged pairs.

Review a pair

A match is a reason to investigate, not proof of a duplicate. Select either bill number to open its purchase order's Vendor bills tab. Bills without an available purchase order link to purchasing reconciliation instead. Compare the source documents before deciding what to do. The report does not approve, reject, pay or void bills. Open the review report.

What it accepts

The table supports searching and paging. It does not accept new bills or changes to bill details. Open the report.

How to configure it

Your current branch scope applies automatically. The matching rules are fixed; this report has no date filter or download control. See the matching rules.
