Inventory ABC classification

Open Reports → Inventory ABC in Thermal →

What it's for

Open Reports → Inventory ABC classification to see which parts account for most of your inventory spend. Each part is ranked by its annual usage value (outbound quantity times current average cost over the trailing 12 months) and placed in class A, B or C. Use it to decide which parts deserve tight counts and stocking levels.

The route is /reports/inventory-abc.

Tabs

The report has one view: a single table of parts, highest usage value first.

Panels and controls

The header shows the number of rows. The table has Part, Outbound quantity, Current average cost, Annual usage value, Value share, Cumulative share and Class. A note under the table gives the 12-month window and the valuation rules.

Outbound use, supplier returns and disposals count as usage, valued at the current weighted average of remaining cost layers (or the stored item cost when none remain). Internal transfers and count adjustments are excluded. Zero-value parts are class C. Export downloads the same rows as CSV with the same filters.

What it accepts

Filter with Location (all visible locations by default), A through (%) and B through (%), then select Filter. The cut points are cumulative shares of usage value; the defaults are 80 and 95. A part that crosses a cut point, and parts tied on value, stay in the higher-priority class. A location filter changes usage quantities only, because cost is kept across the organization. When more than one branch is available, branch chips narrow the report. This is a read-only report. You need access to Inventory and permission to view costs.

How to configure it

Nothing in Settings changes how this screen behaves.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Reports area.

Owners and office managers can open it. Dispatchers and technicians cannot, because they do not have the Inventory area or View costs by default. Opening it requires both the Inventory area and View costs. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
