What it's for
Open Reports → Permit tracker to follow permits that are not finished. It lists each open permit with its job, site, authority, status, pending inspections and the next inspection, oldest status first, so stalled permits are easy to spot.
The route is /reports/permit-tracker.
Tabs
The report has one view: a table of open permits.
Panels and controls
The header shows the number of permits. The table has Job, Site, Authority, Permit number, Status, Status age estimate (days), Last updated, Age basis, Pending inspections and Next inspection.
Exact status change dates are not recorded, so status age is an estimate from the last saved update. Editing notes or inspections resets the estimate even when the status stays the same. Closed permits and issued clearances are excluded; rejected permits stay visible for follow-up. Pending inspections follow the saved checklist order. Export downloads the rows as CSV with the same filters.
What it accepts
Permit status limits the table to one status: application, submitted, inspection hold, approved or rejected. The default is all open statuses. Select Filter to apply it. Branch chips, when available, narrow the report; a branch selection also requires access to Customers. Site-only permits follow the site's branch, and permits with neither a job nor a site appear only in the all-branch view. When nothing matches, the report shows No open permits. This is a read-only report.
How to configure it
Nothing in Settings changes how this screen behaves.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Reports area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
