Stock-count shrinkage

Open Reports → Stock Shrinkage in Thermal →

What it's for

Open Reports → Stock-count shrinkage to see how much inventory was lost or gained in posted stock counts. Use it to find parts and locations that repeatedly come up short.

The route is /reports/stock-shrinkage.

Tabs

The report has one view whose rows depend on Group by: part, count, location, or count line.

Panels and controls

The header shows the number of rows. The table can show Count, Location, Part, Variance quantity, Frozen unit cost, Variance value, Known variance value, Uncosted lines, Counts and Repeat parts.

Only posted counts in the selected posting-date range are included. Variance uses the posted quantity adjustment and the unit cost frozen when the count posted. A negative value is a loss; a positive value is a gain. Lines without a frozen cost keep an unknown value, and a grouped variance value stays blank if any contributing nonzero line is uncosted. Known variance value is the net of costed lines only. A part is a repeat when it has nonzero variance in two or more distinct counts in the range; in the location, count and count-line views those counts must be at the same location. Unit cost appears in the count-line view. Export downloads the rows as CSV.

What it accepts

Set From, To and Group by, then select Filter. Branch chips, when available, narrow the report. This is a read-only report. You need access to Inventory and permission to view costs.

How to configure it

Nothing in Settings changes how this screen behaves.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Reports area.

Owners and office managers can open it. Dispatchers and technicians cannot, because they do not have the Inventory area or View costs by default. Opening it requires both the Inventory area and View costs. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
