Project open items

Open Reports → Project Open Items in Thermal →

What it's for

Open Reports → Project open items to see unresolved RFIs, submittals and punch items across projects. Use it to find what is overdue and which project is holding the most open work.

The route is /reports/project-open-items.

Tabs

The report has one view. Open items are grouped into one table per project, each followed by a subtotal row.

Panels and controls

The header shows the number of open items. Each table has Project, Type, Title, Status, Due date, Days open, Days overdue, Assignee / reviewer, Aging basis, Age bucket and Open items.

Aging uses days overdue when a due date exists, otherwise days since creation. Future and same-day due dates are not overdue. Answered and closed RFIs, approved submittals, closed punch items and deleted records are excluded. Only the latest live revision of each submittal number counts, and revisions needing rework stay open. Export downloads the detail items as CSV. Subtotals are left out so each open item is counted once.

What it accepts

Item type limits the report to RFIs, submittals or punch items; the default is all types. Select Filter to apply it. Branch chips, when available, narrow the report by the project's site, and projects without a site stay visible. A branch selection also requires access to Customers. When nothing is open, the report shows No open project items. This is a read-only report.

How to configure it

Nothing in Settings changes how this screen behaves.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Reports area.

Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.

The full role matrix is on Roles & permissions.
